Escalation steps

1. Ask the insurer for the written reason and deduction sheet.
2. Complain to the insurer's Grievance Redressal Officer and on IRDAI Bima Bharosa.
3. If unresolved in 30 days, file free with the Insurance Ombudsman (claims up to ₹50 lakh).
4. Or file at the Consumer Commission via e-Daakhil.
