Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 4 October 2026. By using RefundPe you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What RefundPe is
RefundPe is a free software tool that helps you draft, send and track grievance letters to companies, and prepare escalation material for regulators and ombudsman offices in India.
RefundPe is not a law firm, not a recovery agency, not an insurance broker or agent, and not affiliated with any company, bank, insurer, airline, marketplace, regulator or government body. Nothing on RefundPe is legal advice, financial advice or a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.
2. Free service, no cut, no guarantee
RefundPe is free. We never charge you a fee and never take a percentage or cut of any money you recover.
We do not guarantee any outcome. Companies, regulators and ombudsman offices make their own decisions, and we cannot promise a refund, a reply, or any particular result or timeline.
3. Your responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of everything you submit — your complaint, amounts, dates, documents and contact details. Do not submit false, misleading, defamatory or fraudulent claims.
Every letter is shown to you before it is sent. Nothing is sent until you press send. By pressing send, you confirm the letter is accurate and you authorise RefundPe to email it on your behalf to the recipient shown.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract under Indian law to use RefundPe.
4. Letters and automation
Letters are drafted with the help of AI from the information you provide. AI can make mistakes. Always read the full letter carefully and edit it before sending.
Follow-up reminders and escalation drafts are prepared automatically on a schedule. You can stop them at any time by closing your case.
Grievance officer email addresses in our directory are collected from public sources. Companies change these addresses; we do not warrant that any address is current or that an email will be delivered or read.
5. Your data
We collect only what is needed to run your case: your complaint, contact details, optional phone number and any documents you upload. We process this under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
We never sell your personal data. We share your complaint details only with the recipients of the letters you choose to send.
You may ask us to delete your account and case data at any time by writing to us through the contact page.
6. Partner offers
After a letter exists, we may show you optional, clearly labelled partner offers (for example, a card or travel product). These are advertisements. If you buy through them, RefundPe may earn a commission from the partner — never from your recovered money.
Partner offers are not recommendations or financial advice. RefundPe is not responsible for the products, terms or conduct of any partner.
7. Acceptable use
You must not misuse RefundPe: no spam, no mass or automated complaints, no harassment of companies or individuals, no attempts to probe or disrupt the service, and no use for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend or terminate access, and decline to send any letter, where we reasonably believe these terms have been violated.
8. Limitation of liability
RefundPe is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RefundPe and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss — including lost refunds, lost profits, or actions taken or not taken by any company, regulator or ombudsman — arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us, which is zero.
9. Intellectual property
The RefundPe name, logo, website, software and content are the property of RefundPe. You retain ownership of your own complaint content; you grant us a limited licence to process and transmit it solely to operate your case.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
